all the promises we made..

[cranberries]
Oh, all the promises we made
All the meaningless and empty words
I prayed, prayed, prayed
Oh, all the promises we broke
All the meaningless and empty words
I spoke, spoke, spoke..
[/cranberries]

Man!! I louuuuu this song!!
I had such a nice day today :)
You know what I did? Ah.. well, why would I tell ya!
Just buzz off!!

I think it is for the nth time that I'm making this promise to myself.. that I'll let bygones be bygones! But everytime I try it, I see no reason as to why I should forget things that caused me so much pain. I ask myself, why is it so difficult to substitute people and habits! I get no answ er.

Change is hard. However maleable as we may seem to the world or even to ourselves, what is basic to us is hard to change, uncomfortable and sometimes painful.

When something manages to be close enough to us to become almost part of us, may it be a person, habit or even for some people an object, their loss initiates a change that involves a part of which is close to our innermost core, hence, hard, uncomfortable and sometimes painful.

I guess it helps to realize, change after all, is not always bad and infact more often than not, is good. People, habits, things, anything, when removed by force, does give us an option to now select with a maturity that came to us only after having experienced the loss and often, the reason why that loss had to happen.

I am pretty sure a lot of what I have written probably is what you know and/or isn't particularly useful but hey,

I love to write ;)
