Hollow Years...

I slept a lot today! Had a nice lunch... followed with a lovely time spent at Oxford..
followed by some academic ventures...

*sigh*

Am playing COSmud right now! Damn Abdul for introducing me to it. I am getting spoilt!
Its 23:45 hrs.. and I dont feel like going home.. this game rocks!!

While I was coming back from MG road.. I met this striking autodriver.. who spoke english better than any oxford passout.. He would have celebrated atleast 50 to 55 new years...
I hired him till Domlur.. but changed ma mind midway.. and asked him to go till airport road..

Upon this, he demanded 10 rs extra.
I was like.. Eh?!
me : Why under the sun, should I give you 10 bucks extra..?

he turned around with a really sad face..

he : "Madam.. you spend so much in all the wrong places. u dont know how much difference those 10 bucks will make to me.. so , wats ur problem?! Cant u just give it?! "

and then suddenly he looked really angry!

I found the situation extremely funny! What I do in such times is - Giggle!!
So I chuckled and said..

me : "Dude! Donn tell me all those stories... Its just fine.Eeveryone thinks that they dont earn enough. But its all fair , anyways. So dont demand , what u dont deserve !!"

he got really worked up at this..and replied with something I really dint expect!!

he questioned : "Have u read The Bible?!

I quickly riffed thru the cached information in ma brain... and found a few entries..

I said aloud - yes , I have! and murmured : not entirely though!

he went into some deep thought and then said..

he : Have u heard of the Law of Action and Reaction?

i was like "yay!! i know wat he is talking about! I cud feel Newton waving at me from a distance.. hehe"

me : Yeah, I know.. its called the Law of Retribution." As u sow, so shall thou reap". Right?!

he nodded.

he : I am honest and hv never done any harm to anyone. Then why dont I have enuf money to educate my kids? To eat good food? To spend a lavish life like u people do ?

BANG!

The signal flashed green light and he turned around and started the auto...

I was dumbstruck! Really!

We dint talk after that. I got down outside ma office and paid him watever the meter read.
His profound words are still echoing in my ears....

Are you sure he was an auto driver. And why did you hire him till Domlur - you should've let him take you all the way!

He, he - freudian slip!
