today, while i was loafing around in the office , i saw Jingss having the most perplexed look on his face..(as if, he has just seen the mosquito he swatted years ago, reincarnated as me!!).
[btw, Jingss is this colleague at office, who has spent his life in IBM Austin & joined IBM India this January. In his introductory days here, we got on talking and totally hit it off!! He is a nice chap:) ..& he'z married.. so no more guesses puleeez!! ]
I went upto him.. and asked him : "Dude! whazzup?! Is the server down again?!' .'Server down' is the perennial problem at IBM..!! lol
As I was talking to him.. he stared hopelessly and seemed more troubled than before!
I assumed, he was latently thinking as to why Wright decided to quit as a coach to Indian team.., or may be he is wondering wat makes Sonia Gandhi such a popular icon despite her inexperience and foreign origin...or will the proposition of making Tamil the national language - pass in the aseembly!!
Watever.. he dint seem to be in any mood to answer my concern.. so i decided to leave him alone and paced quietly towards the pantry.. to get a cup of coffee....
Jingss : Hey Sugandh! Hold on!
I shudder...
Me : Yes..?
Jingss (with no expression on his face) : I have meant to tell u this ever since morning. I really like the crisp white kurta u are wearing today.
Me(smiling) : Oh! Thanks Jingss!
Jingss :Its my wife's bday next month.. May be u can help me select one like this for her too..( & then hesitatingly repeats.."May be!")

Jingss has this accent...and he makes sure he speaks no less than 325 words a minute!! Its actually quite a struggle , to get on with him! I believe, this is why I enjoy listening to him! )

Me : Oh yes... why not. I will give u the directions for the shop i bought this from...But.. hey.. wait! I bought this from an exhibition. Khadi Exhibition! and it is over now. But I am sure, u can get this kinda material anywhere in Bangalore.

the disappointment hits him again!

Jingss : OH!!

Me : Join me for a coffee.. we can decide something better for ur wife..than just a khadi kurta..

i giggled idiotically.. to make it sound all- so- cool!

Jingss decided otherwise. He suddenly got up and said he will be back in a jiffy.. and that I must wait for him.

eh.. wait for him?! wat does that mean.. i cant wait to have coffee! and I dint want the IBM shares to fall down since i wasnt working but "waiting" for someone!!! No no... thaz not happening!!

I get coffee.. and come back to my seat.
