Crazy taxi!
I love jumping over other cars and getting my way.. :)
There are so less no. of controls and not a very complicated game!...
I am the topmost among all my friends at a score of 55817.. but there are some geeks who have theirs at 206000 .. It amazes me how much of it have they played..
Basically the secret of winning in any video game, or better said, the secret of a rilly-rilly high score in a v-game is to be consistent and make NO mistakes! absolutely none!
and if you are lucky, you can actually get to that high score, unless ofcourse there is some pop up window which disturbs the screen.. or someone comes looking for you and wants an urgent answer to their 'hello? how are you"..
sigh.. it happened with me so many times, when i almost snapped at poor kinshuk.. :D
lol.. its nice.. i have had such addictions to a lot of games before this.. the biggest one being Tomb Raider!!! It was one helluva crazy time..! :)
However, i find these 'mission-oriented' games quite time consuming.. I like games that can get started in a jiffy.. and get over in a few minutes (unless it is your day to be at 206000!!)
they act like a little catalyst-cum-steroid to get you a break from work, and make your brain a lil more active :)
if you think about it, then video games are quite a thing to be invented! how cool could someone be to have come up with the idea of a v-game!!
a little googling tells me this about the first video game -
"A device called the Cathode-Ray Tube Amusement Device was patented in the United States by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann.[2] The patent was filed on January 25, 1947 and issued on December 14, 1948. It described using eight vacuum tubes to simulate a missile firing at a target and contains knobs to adjust the curve and speed of the missile. Because computer graphics could not be drawn electronically at the time, small targets were drawn on a simple overlay and placed on the screen."
all said and done, if you get a chance, you shud definitely try your hand at Crrrazy Taxi!
its sure to get you too, get that extra kick! :D

Optical Illusions !!
If you stare at the following picture long enough,
you should see a giraffe...
What are "illusions"?
Illusions trick us into perceiving something differently than it actually exists, so what we see does not correspond to physical reality. Hence, the word illusion comes from the Latin verb illudere meaning, "to mock." In addition, some illusions show us one thing in a picture, while someone else sees something entirely different in the same picture.
Research scientists must be sure that the results of their work are not "illusory" in nature. They need to accurately report what "is", rather than their general "impression" of "what is". So many times a scientist will repeat an experiment many times, or in different laboratories, to ensure that their results were valid. Science is only "good science" when anyone can repeat the experiment and get the same results.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the dots will remain only one color, pink.
Now, concentrate on the black " + " in the center of the picture. After a short period, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will only see only a single green dot rotating.
It's amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don't disappear. This should be proof enough, we don't always see what we think we see.
Now let's play with some words...what do you see below?
In black you can read the word GOOD;
but the word EVIL also appears in white letters inside each black letter.
Now what do you see?
You may not see it at first, but the white spaces create the word OPTICAL,
while the blue landscape spells out ILLUSION.
And what do you see below?
This one is quite tricky! The word TEACH reflects as LEARN.
Last one of these -- what do you see?
You probably read the word ME in brown, but.......
when you look through ME
you will see YOU!
Do you need to look again?
The Man in the Coffee Beans
The "illusion" is that this is just a picture of coffee beans; but it is not. Can you find a man's face among the beans? Some say that if you find the man in 3 seconds or less, the right half of your brain may be more well developed than most.
PS: This is not a trick. A man's face is really hidden among the beans.
The following picture is NOT animated.
Your eyes are making them move. To test this, stare at one spot in each picture for a few seconds and everything will stop moving; OR look at the black center of each circle in the first picture, and it will stop moving; but when you move your eyes to the next black center, the previous one will move after you take your eyes away from it.
Check this out...!!
Do you see the horizontal lines as sloping or straight?
Ans. - All of the lines are straight !
The misaligned black and white blocks fool your brain into thinking that the lines are sloping.
.. We don't always see, what we think we are seeing!! :)
